THE ULTIMATE SCAVENGER HUNT

This is an event that requires an experienced and well-organized group to run successfully.

The purpose of this event is to draw divergent groups together in the school for five days of searching for unusual items. The list of 500 items can be changed each year and a judging sheet can be created by establishing one sheet for each point value. The package can be given out on Wednesday at noon, and the items are brought to the school for Sunday at noon.

  • RULES OF COMPETITION
    1. This is a school function and therefore all school rules apply. It cannot be used as an excuse to miss school.
    2. A team must consist of a maximum of 10 members. On each team there must be three members of each sex, a minimum of three junior students, and a minimum of three senior students.
    3. The entry fee is $10.00 per team ($1.00 per participant ideally) to cover prizes.
    4. Although you may choose to spend money to obtain certain items, it is not the intention of this event to encourage this. Theft of items is not allowed. It will result in disqualification from the competition.
    5. A given item may only be used by one team in the competition.
    6. Each item on the list counts only once for its point value.
    7. Judging will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. At this time the judging of visiting guests on the Scavenger Hunt list will be recorded.
    8. Items should be grouped according to point values wherever possible.
    9. The final results will not be disclosed until all teams have cleared the field of their items.
    10. All decisions of the judges are final.
