Leadership Movies
Movies can teach students a lot about leadership because they
can give students concrete models of behaviour for observation
and discussion. Hollywood loves strong leaders because they can
tell great stories, so it is interesting to see how students respond
to a leadership portrayal. It is also valuable in using the movies
listed to discover what the students think about what is Hollywood
and what is reality.
An excellent resource for using movies to teach leadership lessons is the series entitled: Leadership in the Movies. These DVDs contain over fifty clips from the top movies of the last three years. Fourteen aspects of leadership responsibility are presented. There is a complete discussion guide for each clip that can be downloaded to your computer from the DVD in pdf format.

Two very valuable Internet sites that can provide background and
more information about these movies and more movies are:
The Internet movie
database. It contains almost every movie ever made with plot
lines, actors, trivia and reviews linked or listed. The best site
to get the basic information and their rating of a movie.
Teach
With Movies a site that lists their opinions on what movies
are good to use as teaching tools and which ones are not. You
may agree or disagree with their position, but this site has great
movie listings and good sources for lesson plans.
